Hello Beechcraficionado!

Komende zondag 30 juni vind de zomereditie van het Gluren Bij de Buren Festival plaats en ook ik ben weer van de partij. Dit keer eindelijk weer eens in mijn thuisstad Almere!

Dus kom vooral Beechcraft Bonanza Begluren, dat kan om 13:00, 14:30 en 17:30 op locatie Toernooiveld 14 (Almere Haven)

Wat betreft het Live Album wat ik in april heb opgenomen, dat bevind zich nog in Post-Productie, maar als je echt heel nieuwsgierig bent kun je alvast luisteren naar de pre-master EP “Living Backwards”. Inmiddels ook op alle Streaming Services te horen!

Hello Beechcraficionado’s!

Juni wordt een drukke maand, zoals jullie konden lezen in de vorige nieuwsbrief.

Het eerst komende optreden is op 19 juni, op de Rabo Openstage van Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht, dus kom zeker langs als je in de buurt bent!
Deze show vindt plaats in café Het Gegeven Paard (naast/onder? Tivoli).

Een ander evenement waar ik een aantal van jullie graag zou willen zien is de voorronde van de Talentenjacht van het Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival in Rotterdam op 23 juni!

Daar ding ik mee in akoestische opstelling (alleen stem en uke) naar een plekje op de eerste festivaldag (finale) van het RBGF.

De voorronde wordt afgesloten met een workshop/jamsessie, dus als je zelf graag een nootje speelt op een snaarinstrument is dat zeker ook een reden om te komen! 🙂

The first few shows of the spring and summer have been played and were an absolute blast!
Especially high praise for the amazing Sound of Happiness Ukulele Festival, last weekend in Eemnes, where I had a ton of fun.

Next up is the show of 19 June on the Rabo Open Stage @ Tivolivredenburg (café het gegeven paard).

Added to the list of upcoming shows are two more in Almere, first Gluren Bij de Buren, 30 June @ toernooiveld 14

Then coming up in July is the next UIT JE PLAAT mini-festival @ Creative Artlabs Almere, always a great spot for some live music.

While we are waiting for the final mixes and masters of the big live recording of 13 April 2024, I am so excited to share these pre-mixes with you to lighten the wait.

Besides, I have been playing these 4 songs live for up to 2 years now, already released some (live) videos of them and therefore thought these tunes would make a fine appetizer for the bunch of recordings I’ll be releasing in the 2nd half of this year 2024.

The Weekend is my work week 😉

More weird blues-adaptations of pop classics out today!

I imagine Brendan of Wheatus himself also feels slightly akward singing about being a Teenage Dirtbag, well I turned 40 this year and I’d get that.
Still, this song was one of my late-teen favorites when I just started playing guitar, and a version closer to the original has been a go-to tune on monthly jam sessions!

The final season of this year is also looking to bring some cool shows, revisiting some old venues and debuting at a new one!
